ETTORE POMARICI SANTOMASI

The Ettore Pomarici Santomasi Foundation , located in the heart of the ancient city, is the result of the testamentary provisions of a nobleman who, after his death on 12/7/1917, thanks to the bequest made in favor of the city, was erected as a non-profit organization in 1920.

VIADUCT BRIDGE

The Aqueduct Bridge Viaduct of the Madonna della Stella is a double arch construction, begun in 1743 and completed in 1778, financed by the Orsini Dukes .

It was born as a viaduct to reach the Marian Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella and as an aqueduct to supply the city with water coming from the sources north of the city, Sant'Angelo and San Giacomo, which are still active.

Having now become the symbol of Gravina, it scenically connects the two banks of the ravine, allowing you to reach the archaeological and rock area of Padreterno and Botromagno.

UNDERGROUND GRAVINA

Gravina Sotterranea is an obligatory stop for those who decide to visit the Murgian city.

The spectacular underground network that winds through the city's meanders is a rare if not unique heritage.

These great civil engineering works were left abandoned for a long time until they were recovered and given new life by the association of the same name.
